The Cardiff Review
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
Please note: We are only able to read 500 combined submissions/month of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. If submissions are closed, it is because we have reached our monthly capacity, and submissions will reopen at the beginning of the next month.
The Cardiff Review publishes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, criticism and interviews.
We welcome submissions in English, from anywhere in the world written by an individual at any stage in their career. However, whenever we can, we give reading and publication precedence to students currently on a related postgraduate course (i.e. Creative Writing, English Literature or Journalism) or, alternatively, who have recently graduated and have yet to publish a major work.
We recommend that your document be double-spaced in Times New Roman with 1 inch (2.54 cm) margins. The title of your story should be in the header of the document and page numbers inserted in the top right corner.
Please do not include identifying information on the work itself.
We accept simultaneous submissions, but request that you withdraw your submission should it be accepted elsewhere.
Writers maintain copyright to their work. The Cardiff Review is granted first serial rights and acknowledgement should the work be published elsewhere in the future. Regrettably, we are unable to offer compensation at this time.
